87% of teens say it would be easier for them to wait to have sex and avoid pregnancy if they were able to talk more openly and honestly with their parents.

75% of parents think teens should get more information about both abstinence and birth control.

61% of teens do not think they are getting enough information about abstinence and birth control.

The majority of parents believe that peers have the most influence over their child’s sexual decisions but the majority of teens say their parents have the most influence over their sexual decisions.
